Sight Singing is dedicated to training the singer to see, read, hear and sing music @ sight.  Be prepared to sing at each class as we drill solfege, major & minor scales and vocal sequential exercises.  Followed by rhythm and more advanced sight singing exercises, this course will give you the ability and techniques to read music at sight.

Weekly assignments and preparation are required for your personal success. Sight Singing is possible and made easy through diligent practice. This course will give you the tools to achieve your individual Sight Singing needs.

This class is designed to exercise and perfect LIVE performance techniques.  Focusing on technical aspects of performance: mic use, communicating with other players, the sound engineers and the audience, we prepare singers for all the elements of performing LIVE.

Watching your own performance is a nerve wracking experience. Learning first hand from your own performance is the most effective way to break bad habits, see what works and what needs to be corrected.   Singers will perform and be video recorded weekly for critique and coaching.

This 6 week covers the craft of writing songs specifically for the film and television medium. Students will use clips and scenes from commercials, movies, and television programs of varying genres as a thematic template to create songs that will drive and support action on screen. Students will write their own songs which will be matched directly to specific scene(s). *This is an intermediate / advanced workshop.
